Frequently Asked Questions

Is OfficeDrills affiliated with QuickBooks, Excel, Salesforce, or the other software you reference?
No. OfficeDrills is an independent, educational practice environment. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the companies referenced in its lessons. Every lesson page says so explicitly.
Do I need to already own the real software to take a course?
No — every lesson runs entirely in your browser as a realistic simulation of the real product’s layout and workflows. You don’t need a QuickBooks, Salesforce, or Microsoft 365 account to practice.
How close is the simulation to the real software?
Close enough that the navigation, terminology, and workflow order should feel familiar the first time you open the real thing — but it’s a simulation, not a clone. It’s deliberately simplified in places (fewer fields, no account setup, no real data), and each lesson’s completion screen tells you exactly where the real software differs.
Do I get a certificate when I finish a course?
Yes — completing a course unlocks a shareable completion certificate you can post to LinkedIn. It certifies that you completed OfficeDrills’ practice course, not an official certification from the software vendor.
Is it a subscription?
No. Every course is a one-time payment — pay once, keep access. There’s no recurring charge.
What’s the difference between Beginner, Advanced, and Crash Course?
Beginner spells out every step, including what each screen and field actually means — built for someone who's never opened the software before. Advanced is the full real-world workflow with less hand-holding, for people who've used it before or pick up new tools fast. Crash Course ($10) is a fast, four-lesson run-through of the highest-value tasks with no explanations — built for brushing up right before an interview.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as you haven't completed the course. See our Refund Policy for details.
Is OfficeDrills available in Spanish?
Yes — the 🌐 language toggle machine-translates both the site and the lessons themselves (steps, emails, hints) into Spanish on the fly. It’s a live translation, not professionally localized, so phrasing may occasionally be imperfect.
Does it work on my phone or tablet?
Yes, lessons are built to work on mobile and tablet screens, though a larger screen makes some hands-on tasks easier to work with — the same as with the real software.
What if I get stuck on a lesson?
Every lesson has a hint you can reveal if you’re stuck, and a second, stronger hint if the first one isn’t enough. Beginner tier also shows the full step list by default.
I found a bug or something that looks wrong in a lesson — who do I tell?
